ABOUT

Diego Portales University (UDP) is the oldest private, nonprofit institution of higher learning  in Chili, founded in 1982. The University's name is after Chili's statesman Diego Portales.

The university is known for psychology, education, architecture, law and journalism. They also have connections with renowned universities. Some of these include Leiden University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Yale University, Columbia University and the University of Sao Paulo. This prestigious university has campuses in the Huechuraba and Barrio Universitario de Santiago.

There are 1,331 academic employees overall.  At its faculties, Universidad Diego Portales offers 31 undergraduate programmes in both day and night time.  

With prominent institutions, research facilities, foundations, and international organizations in more than 25 countries, UDP has a broad network of working partnerships and agreements.

STUDENTS

It has a total of 16,269 undergraduates and 1,359 postgraduates.  Foreigners and citizens are both eligible to apply. About 2% of employees at UDP are international students.

Due to the excellent reputation of Diego Portales University, it has become one of the most attractive educational institutes for international students. Moreover, due to their agreement with 120 educational institutes in different countries, many international students benefit from studying at this prestigious institute.

ACCOMMODATION

One can get accommodation in their university hostels. These hostels offer different rates and facilities for students, from costly to budget-friendly. Their hostels are near the Diego Portales University. Other than this, there are many accommodation facilities available in the institute's neighbourhood.
