Hanyang University is a private institute in South Korea. The primary campus is situated in Seoul, and its satellite campus, the ERICA campus (Education Research Industry Cluster), is in Ansan. Hanyang descends from the last name of the capital Seoul used during the Joseon Dynasty. This institute was established in 1939 as an engineering school. The university was the country's first college to offer architecture and engineering programs and is constantly ranked among the leading institutes in STEM fields nationally.

The goal of this organization is to contribute to the foreign-student community through various productive and fun activities, including voluntary activities at multiple events. HGSU (Hanyang Global Student Union) is a student association representing students at the university and promoting various exchange programs both locally and internationally. The union also runs an "International-zone", which encourage friendship and cultural exchange between foreign and local student.
The Residence Halls at Hanyang University offer various housing types for foreign students with facilities like desks, wardrobes, chairs, bookshelves and radiators.
