ABOUT

Institut Polytechnique de Paris, also known as the Polytechnic Institute of Paris, is a network of research universities in Palaiseau, France. It comprises five engineering schools: 

  • École Polytechnique

  • Télécom Paris

  • Télécom SudParis

  • ENSTA Paris

  • ENSAE ParisTech

The Polytechnic Institute of Paris is a part of the Paris-Saclay project, a research-intensive academic campus and commercial centre created on the Plateau de Saclay close to Paris. The project also includes the Paris-Saclay University. The university combines several engineering schools and research institutes that are a part of the top global organisations for various types of research.

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris develops multidisciplinary education from undergraduate to doctoral levels as well as research programmes in ten academic fields: biology, chemistry, processes, economics, information, communications, and electronics, computer science, data, and artificial intelligence, mathematics, mechanics and energetics, physics, humanities, arts, literature, and languages, and social sciences and management.

The mission of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris is centred on the transfer of knowledge to the economy and society. Its network of incubators, 30 top-notch laboratories, interdisciplinary centres, private and public research partners, and incubators all contribute to advancing cutting-edge innovation and developing students' creativity. Among its graduates are three Nobel laureates, one Fields Medalist, three French presidents, and several CEOs of French and multinational corporations.

STUDENTS

A community of 1,000 academic members and specialists who are well-known in their professions provide students with a high-quality education once they are admitted through an extreme recruitment process.

The French government and other authorities provide international students enrolled in engineering degrees with need- and merit-based scholarships. For students enrolling in Ph.D. programmes, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris offers merit-based excellence scholarships. Host laboratories offer fellowships for Ph.D. students.

ACCOMMODATION

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris offers Master's, Doctoral, and Ph.D. students a variety of housing alternatives. Additionally, they may qualify for a housing allowance and assistance with deposits.

  • Campus of Ecole Polytechnique

  • Partner locations in Cachan (94) and Massy (91)

Following the completion of your registration and payment of tuition, they will review the accommodation request. If the admissions team at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris has not reviewed the registration file, it will not handle accommodation request. 

In addition to Paris, neighbouring cities also have student housing options. The school is conveniently located just outside of Paris. It is reachable by public transportation, enabling students to benefit from the French city's vibrant economy and diverse cultural scene.
