The Munich University Sports Center (ZHS) offers the student an opportunity to participate in 90 types of sports, including climbing, aerobics, sailing on Lake Starnberg, climbing and skiing in the mountains and yoga. ZHS is also affiliated with the sports studies program at Technical University Munich.

Cultural Bureau is a service managed by Student Union. It organizes fun events, from culture clubbing to dances and comics. You can also join a student group who travel together and visit historical sites, go surfing or swimming in Eisbach or go shopping in a flea market.

Accommodation

The majority of the approximately 100,000 students in Munich live in private rooms, shared apartments, or single apartments. Only about 13% of students live in university housing, which Munich Student Union mostly manages.

The average rent for an apartment in Munich’s private market range from 400-600 EUR, depending on facilities and location. Rooms in student housing at LMU can cost between 270-350 EUR.
