Pennsylvania State University

The Pennsylvania State University laid its foundation as an agricultural university in 1855. Its first batch commenced in 1859. Penn State has been providing baccalaureate degrees in Pennsylvania since the 1930s. In 1863, the Pennsylvania legislature was nominated as the only Commonwealth's land-grant institute that helped broaden their objective. From the starting days, its objective included the research department, teaching, and public services in various academic fields. Currently, Penn State is among four state-related universities (including Temple University, Lincoln University, and the University of Pittsburgh). They are neither state-owned nor operated but eligible for state appropriations with merit competing for public universities.

Furthermore, Penn State has 25 locations across Pennsylvania, including the administrative and research hub at the University Park campus. Some of these locations have focused on academic disciplines. However, they all commonly adhere to the university’s mission, strategic goals, and core values.

Penn State has research opportunities for students of Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world. This institute has various campuses educating and improving the health of communities and individuals through its cutting-edge teaching, research, and service programs. Pennsylvania State University has an instructional mission for undergraduates, graduates, and professionals through its on-campus and online classes. It expands the theoretical knowledge with practical applications in various fields, which include arts, professions, humanities, natural, applied, and social sciences. For the betterment of society, Penn State creates, incorporates, disseminates, and uses knowledge by interacting with the agricultural, educational, and industrial affiliates locally and internationally.

This university accommodates students in its traditional and renovated living spaces. Penn State offers housing like suites, residence halls, apartments, and single-occupancy rooms. There are seven housing complexes for the student at this university.
