Queen Margaret University is a modern university located near Edinburgh, Scotland. It was founded in 1875 as the Edinburg School of Cookery, which was then converted into a college. Then in 2007, the institution was awarded full university status, becoming Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

The university has two leading faculty schools, The School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management and The School of Health Sciences, subdivided into many relevant departments.

The courses offered at Queen Margaret University (QMU) range from undergraduate to postgraduate levels and are held on a campus known for its welcoming atmosphere.

The Queen Margaret University campus may be found on the eastern side of Edinburgh, close to Musselburgh. In addition, there are fully equipped speciality labs and clinics on campus, a students' union building, sports facilities, and attractively designed gardens.

This university currently has around 6,500 students enrolled from over 70 countries.

Student life at the university is a big part of the city's culture and activity, where students take advantage of various social and academic benefits.

The QMU student union is delighted to serve its diverse community via representation, events, and activities. The student union offers a variety of athletic, activity-based, and educational groups.

Queen Margaret's University has a student village that accommodates 800 students with a choice of standard or premium rooms which are all en-suite. The rooms are arranged in self-catered flats for three to six people. Private rented housing is also available in the local area, and the university assists students in finding a suitable residence.

The ResLife program at QMU offers a variety of enjoyable social activities for students who live on campus. The university has a strong sense of community because the housing is on-campus and close to the school.

The students' union, a gymnasium and sports centre, a learning resource centre, and student services are nearby from the on-campus housing. Wi-Fi is available campus-wide, including in resident halls, and security is available around the clock to keep students secure and supported.
