The Student Council is the only representative body for students of TUM. This council represents all students' economic, social, and professional interests. It also organizes several student festivals, including TU Film cinema, MeUP party, and GARNIX and TUNIX week-long festivals held every summer.
TUM does not offer on-campus housing. The Munich Student Union provides the TUM Global & Alumni Office with limited spaces in student dorms, mainly reserved for members of the TUM Exchange Mobility Program.
Student Halls of Residence are affordable housing options run by Munich Student Union. It has a space of 1000 rooms. Note that the university does not own these halls.
