The University of Edinburgh is an ancient public research university in Edinburgh, Scotland, founded in 1582 and officially opened in 1853, and it is one of Scotland's four ancient universities and the sixth-oldest University in the English-speaking world. EUSU (Edinburgh University Sports Union) runs over 65 sports clubs, including rugby, rowing, football, judo, gliding, korfball and mountaineering.
