The University of Queensland (UQ) is Australia's best university for teaching and research. UQ has taught some of the best people in the world for more than a hundred years to make the world a better place through its knowledge leadership.

It has won more national teaching awards than any other Australian university because it puts a lot of emphasis on good teaching.

With three main campuses and a wide variety of academic departments, the University of Queensland is an excellent location for study.

The University of Queensland has the following campuses.

The university has a college, a graduate school, and six faculties that provide associate, bachelor, master, doctoral, and different doctorate degrees. UQ has more than 100 research institutions and centers that provide research programs.

Students

There are more than 56,000 students enrolled at the University of Queensland's three campuses in South East Queensland.

In addition, this university has 307000 graduates. These graduates come from more than 170 countries. This university enrolled the best students in Queensland, with more than 20,000 postgraduates and about 21,000 international students from 142 countries.

There are a number of support and student services at the University of Queensland. Both St. Lucia and Gatton campuses have Student Centres that offer help and information.

Accommodation

There are 11 residential colleges at the University of Queensland from which 10 are located in the St. Lucia campus, and one is in the Gatton campus.  Here is a list of colleges that provides accommodation for students:

  • Cromwell College is a college for both men and women and it has rooms for 249 students.
  • Duchesne College is for only women and it accommodates 210 students.
  • Emmanuel College is a college for both men and women. It has resident facilities for 340 students.
  • Gatton Halls of Residence has 440 residential students.
  • Grace College is a college for women and it has rooms for 181 students.
  • King's College offers housing for 320 male and female university students.
