The University of Warwick is a public institute on the outskirts of Coventry, England. Founded in 1965, the University of Warwick is a world-leading campus university, ranked in the U.K.'s top ten universities. It is among the leading universities with an acknowledged reputation for excellence in research and teaching. The University has 33 departments formed into 4 main faculties; Faculty of Arts, Engineering and Medicine, Social Sciences, and Cross-faculty centers.

Students

This University has a large student population of 29,534, including 18,250 undergraduates, 10,810 Postgraduate, and 474 Exchange/Visiting/IFP students. 64% of undergraduate students identify as non-BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic). At the postgraduate level, 68% of taught postgraduate students and 57% of Warwick Ph.D. students identify as BAME.

The Student's Union of the University of Warwick is one of the largest student unions in the United Kingdom. It has over 260 clubs and societies and 67 sports clubs, including rowing, basketball, and ice hockey. This union has an annual turnover of around 6 million GBP.

Student-run esports society and Warwick Esports field numerous esports teams win titles for universities every year. Esports teams of the University of Warwick are four-time winners of the U.K. Esports University of the Year.

In 2019, the University of Warwick opened a new Sports and Wellness Hub, which cost around 49 million GBP. It has two sports halls, the largest gym in the Higher Education sector,25m pool with a movable floor and 12 lanes, bouldering and climbing walls, studio spaces, and a café. This University was an official training venue for the 2012 London Olympics.

ACCOMMODATION

This institute guarantees university-managed accommodation for all new full-time undergraduates for their first year. Warwick Accommodation is in the University's dedicated housing department.

Students can rent private spaces if they want to live independently. Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, and Coventry are all popular locations for students to live.
