Foreign nationals travelling to Bangladesh for business must have a business visa. Typically, you need an invitation letter from a business in Bangladesh.

Eligibility

You are required to fulfil the following requirements in order to be qualified to enter the nation on a visa. You must;

  • have enough resources (money) to cover your expenses during the stay, as well as those of any dependents.
  • enter the country with a purposeful and honourable goal in mind.
  • be morally upright and have no history of criminal activity.
  • have an invitation from a legitimate corporation with headquarters in the country with which you are or will be conducting business.

Documents

When submitting your application, the following paperwork is needed.

  • A printed version of the properly completed and legally signed online visa application form.
  • Two copies of a recent colour passport-size photo with a white backdrop.
  • Original passport with a photocopy of the photo page that is good for at least six months.
  • A letter of invitation from a Bangladeshi organization that includes the applicant's name, passport number, the reason for travel and the length of time the visa is needed.
  • A letter introducing the applicant, outlining his job status with the company and the reason for his visit to Bangladesh, from a reputable business organization in the UK.
  • Documents to prove that you have got a clean medical and criminal record.

Visa Processing Time
The length of time it takes to process a visa application can differ among applicants. The Bangladesh High Commission in London needs at least seven business days to process a visa application. The candidate may be asked for an interview in some cases, thus causing further delays.

Duration
For a maximum of one year, a business visa may be granted with single, double, or triple entries. Please be aware that each visit stay should not exceed 60 days. Also, be aware that the visa's validity period starts on the day it is issued, not the day you indicated on your application that you would like to travel.

Fees
The processing fee for a business visa to Bangladesh varies from country to country. Moreover, it also changes by the type of visa (single entry or multiple entries). However, the good part is that in most cases it does not exceed 100 USD.

Extension

The Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP), Bangladesh, will extend visas for up to three years with a stay of six months per visit once the local sponsor is involved. Police clearance is not necessary in cases where the DIP extends a visa for six months.
