Business travel to Turkey makes up a substantial part of the vast number of people who visit enter Turkey each year. Istanbul and Ankara, for example, are important business hubs with numerous opportunities for foreign businesses and businesspersons.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this visa, you should meet the following criteria. 

  • You must have a passport valid for at least six months and one blank visa page at the time of entry. 
  • Keep proof of adequate money on hand. 
  • Record of onward and return flights. 
  • Copy of your hotel reservation confirmation. 
  • All of the documents which you will need for your next destination. 
  • Complying with all of the instructions on the E-Visa Order Form.

Documents

Documents required for this visa are:

  • Passport
  • Copies of old passports.
  • Photos 
  • Copy of air tickets.
  • Certificate of travel insurance.
  • Cover Letter from the company (if you are travelling on behalf of a business).
  • Income Tax Returns copy.
  • Invitation Letter from a business where you are going, mentioning your purpose of visit.

Process

Business visas can be acquired by visiting a Turkish Embassy or Consulate. 

Residents of eligible countries can apply for a visa to Turkey online. This eVisa has several benefits: 

  • A more efficient and straightforward application process. 
  • Rather than travelling to an embassy, it can be submitted from the applicant's home or workplace. 
  • At embassies and consulates, there will be waiting in long lines. 

Visa Processing Time
Visit visas take approximately eight working days, while business visas take five working days. When the visa is processed and approved, the applicants are notified.

When to Apply
It is recommended that visas be applied for at least one month before the planned travel date to avoid any inconveniences caused by processing delays.

Duration & Fees

Duration
Within every 180 days, the length of stay granted by a visa or visa exemption cannot exceed 90 days. All foreigners travelling to Turkey must adhere to the 90-day rule within the previous 180-day period.

Fees
The cost for this visa depends on the type of visa and from where it is applied. It includes the consular fees. The non-refundable visa fees for e-visa and visa on arrival are listed online. The applicant's country organises them.

Extension

Apply at the nearest immigration office, police station, or embassy to extend your visa. Officials will assess your explanations for the extension and issue you a new visa relying on these factors and your nationality.
