Eligibility

In order to be eligible, the applicant,

  • Should not be an EEA or EU citizen
  • Must have an adequate income that mostly originated from outside Italy.
  • Should possess health insurance that will cover any hospital stays or medical costs they incur during their initial 30 days in Italy.
  • Needs to have a place to stay in Italy.

Documents

While applying for this visa, the applicant must submit the following documents,

  • A valid passport and other identity documents.
  • Recently taken passport-sized photographs should be attached to the documents.
  • Prove that you have arranged for accommodations in the country.
  • Proof that you have adequate earnings that come from outside the country.
  • Proof that you do not have a criminal record of any kind.
  • Display evidence that you have the financial resources to support your stay.
  • Proof that you have health insurance to cover your hospitalisation charges.

Process

Once you have all the documents in place, you may go on with the visa application process. However, you must keep in mind the visa processing time to apply at the proper time.
