This visa is issued by Mexican Consulates around the world, and it is the one that the investor will use to visit the country on a regular basis. For single entry, it is suitable for 180 days.
When entering Mexico, the Golden Visa holder must exchange it for a one-year Temporary Resident Card at the National Institute of Migration within 30 calendar days of arrival.
Mexico offers a Golden Visa programme with the opportunity of earning Mexican citizenship through investments in business or real estate. However, you need to know that it is only offered to a select group of individuals who wish to invest in the country.

Official documentation or certified copies of legal records confirming your position as an investor in the country must be presented. Immigration agents may refuse entry and deport you if you do not have the required papers.
After your role as an investor has been recognised, you will be provided papers to send to the National Institute of Migration within the next 30 days to seek your temporary residency by investing.
Visa Processing Time
Normally, the visa can take up to 2 months to process. It can take longer depending on the authenticity of your documents and the country you are applying from. Moreover, you should apply at least three months before planning to move to the country.
How to Apply
You may visit the nearest Embassy to apply for an Investment Visa. You must fill out the application form, provide the necessary documents and pay the fee. You may also hire a visa consultant to avoid any trouble.
Duration
The permit is normally valid for one year. It can be renewed for another three years (3+1) if the conditions are still met.
Fees
Aside from the investment, a visa processing fee of 40 USD will be charged.
It can be renewed for 3 to 4 years, ultimately leading to permanent residence.
Residence
Permanent residence after four years in the country.
Citizenship
Apply for citizenship after five years.
