About

Foreign citizens who have secured their investment licence using capital from abroad with the consent of Iran's Economic and Technical Assistance and Investment Organisation are granted visas.

Following approval by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, foreign applicants who spend at least 250,000 USD or the equivalent in other currencies in banks with long-term deposits or more in Iran would be given a five-year residency visa.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, you must,

  • Obtain an investment licence from the Iranian Economic and Technical Assistance and Investment Organisation.
  • Use foreign-sourced capital for the investment.
  • At least 250,000 USD, or the equivalent in another currency, should be put into Iranian banks, credit institutions, or other investments.

Documents

The following documents must be provided while applying for this visa,

  • An original passport that has at least six months left on it.
  • Filled out the visa application.
  • Card of residence in the origin country or other necessary travel documents.
  • travel protection from non-Iranian insurance providers with a local agent in Iran.
  • Permission from the Iranian Organisation for Investment, Economic, and Technical Assistance.
