About

The Vietnam Investor Visa (also known as the DT visa) permits the holder to transit through and remain inside the nation for a period of 12 months. Foreign investors and foreign lawyers who want to live in Vietnam are granted this visa.

DT1 Visa
Representatives of foreign organisations investing in Vietnam and international investors with a capital investment of at least VND100 billion are eligible for DT1.

DT2 Visa
Foreign investors are eligible for this visa if they invest between VND50 billion and VND100 billion in total over the course of five years.

DT3 Visa
A foreign investor who has invested between VND3 billion and VND50 billion is eligible to receive this visa, which is suitable for five years.

DT4 Visa
Foreign investors and representatives of foreign organisations engaging in Vietnam are given DT4 status if their capital investment is less than VND3 billion.

Eligibility

The following eligibility requirements must be met in order to be granted an investment visa in Vietnam:

  • Depending on the type of visa he is applying for, the foreign investor must have made a minimum investment.
  • The venture or project must fall under one of the governments of Vietnam's supported investment sectors.
  • The investment cannot contravene Vietnamese legal requirements.
