A Special Work Permit is issued to foreign nationals who would be working in the Philippines for 3 to 6 months with the possibility of extension or renewal. If the foreign national needs to continue working on a project in the Philippines after his SWP expires, he can apply for a work permit.

The following are the requirements for acquiring a Special Work Permit (SWP) in the Philippines.
To obtain a Special Work Permit, you have to be a foreign national who is currently on a temporary Tourist Visa and wants to work legally in the Philippines for three to six months.
Visa Processing Time
It usually takes 2–3 weeks for the SWP to be approved. The Bureau of Immigration will submit a formal Special Work Permit order of approval, which will be used as a Work Permit.

Fees
This visa costs 6,440 PHP with or without the I-card.
During the initial application, the SWP is valid for three months and can be extended for another three months.
