  • Valid Passport or defensible travel document.
  • A birth certificate or any other similar document must be acknowledged by the Austrian Authorities.
  • Photo with a dimension of 45x35mm and photograph must not be older than six months.
  • Proof of Health Insurance or equivalent health policy which covers all risks.
  • Relevant certificated for vocational training.
  • Testimonial and work certificate which show skills in relevant field.
  • Investment Capital Proof with your available equity in the firm.
  • In case of funding from the business incubator, prove your admission to the funding agency.
  • Documents as evidence of the innovational value of your service, product or processing methods.
  • Evidence for your controlling influence on the management of the newly set-up company.
  • You must have the qualification which is necessary for self-employed professional activity.

EXTENSION

As a startup founder, you are awarded a Red-White-Red Card for the first two years, which lets you stay in the country for 24 months. When this card expires, you can apply for a Red-White-Red Card plus, which entitles you to fixed-term settlement and unlimited labour market access.
