While the majority of visitors to Kenya have typically required a single-entry visa, demand for the multiple-entry visa, which permits lengthier stays and flexible travel plans, is growing. Americans who need a visa to come and remain in Kenya for business or tourism purposes are given a 5-year multiple-entry visa. 

Eligibility

In order to be eligible,

  • You must be applying for tourism, business or family purposes.
  • You must not have a criminal history in the country you are applying from.

Documents

The applicants must come up with the following documentation while applying for this visa;

  • Possess a passport that is good for at least six months.
  • The reason for the visit must fall under one of the permissible categories, such as tourism, business or medical needs.
  • Show that you possess the money to pay for the stay and transportation back home.
  • Possess a spotless criminal record and adhere to Kenya's immigration rules.
  • Send a completed visa application form and any necessary supporting documentation to Kenya.
  • A letter of invitation, travel schedule, or documentation of accommodation may be needed depending on the purpose of the trip.

Process

Foreigners who frequently need to travel to Kenya for the same reason as a tourist visa are given multiple entry visas. The application process can be undertaken online for an eVisa, or you may visit the nearest embassy.

Visa Processing Time
Visa application processing can take a few days to several weeks. In order to account for any potential processing delays, it is advised to apply for a visa well in advance of the dates you expect to visit.

How to Apply
Follow these steps while applying for a multiple-entry visa in Kenya;

  • Assemble the necessary paperwork (passport, pictures, travel documents, letters of invitation, and financial proof).
  • Accurately fill out the visa application form.
  • Send the application and other paperwork to the embassy or consulate of Kenya.
  • The visa fee must be paid as directed.

Duration & Fees

Duration
The validity of the multiple-entry visa is from three months to a year after the date of issuance. As for US citizens, they may file for a 5 Years Multiple-entry visa.

Fees
A 10 USD visa processing charge and a 1 USD service fee are applied to Multiple Entry Visas. When you are accepted, you must pay a 100 USD application fee as well as a 1 USD service fee.
