The Ohio State University is a first-class research institute established in 1870. It is located in Columbus, Ohio's state capital and largest city. This university has international and national recognition in education and research. It is ranked among the top 20 institutes in the United States.

OSU offer more than 174 majors, 492 specializations and more than 1000 internship in almost every field. Ohio State University is the leading producer of Fulbright Scholars. It is the only institute in North America that offers an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in welding Engineering. The research labs and expert faculty of the university have helped OSU to maintain its high rank in Ohio State programs in biological, physical, and medical sciences and as well as in engineering and technology.

OSU operates on 5 regional campuses: Lima, Mansfield, Newark, Marion, and Wooster.

STUDENTS

With a diverse multinational community of more than 6000 students from 100 countries, Ohio State University is one the largest cosmopolitan university. It has built a strong foundation that integrates the international dimension with every facet of the institution.

The Office of International Affairs is made by the university and helps all incoming international students. OIA assist students from their immigration to their arrival at the airport. This office provides you with a warm welcome to the campus community and helps you to start your new life at OSU. As international students cannot avail of U.S. federal financial aid, so this office provides a few associateship and fellowship programs and grant a few Graduate Scholarships.

It has an Extensive Student life program, including recreational sports programs, media organizations and publications. Ohio State University has athletic teams which compete in Division 1 of NCCAA. The major college football rivalry between the University of Michigan is quite famous in North America Sports. OSU football team is valued at around 1.5 billion.

ACCOMMODATION

Ohio State University operates around 41 on-campus residence halls. These residencies are divided into three geographic clusters: South Campus, North Campus, and West Campus.

Graduate and Professional Students have separate housing, which is maintained on the South tier of the Campus. Families' accommodation is also located on this side of the Campus.

Student Life University Housing department administrates all the residential housing of the university. This department also administers housing on other Campuses of OSU Mansfield, OSU Newark, and OSU ATI (Agricultural and Technical Institute) campuses.

Residence Hall Advisory Council (RHAC) is developed by the university. This council is the representative body of all students living in the institute residence halls. RHAC helps evaluate and improve the quality and standard of living conditions at the Ohio State University.

Suppose you are planning to live outside the university. In that case, the Off-Campus and Commuter Student Engagement platform is developed by OSU on which you can find rentals and resources that best suit you. Here you can also find people who have shared apartments and rooms. So, select the option that suits you the best.
