Students

The university has approximately 10,500 students at the Suzukakedai, Ookayama, and Tamachi Campuses. Half are in undergraduate degrees, while the other half are in doctoral and master's programs. There are 1700 International students in 600 administrative and 1,200 faculty and technical staff members.

Unlike other universities that teach the humanities, students here are inundated with practical work, experiments, and exercises. Extracurricular activities at the Tokyo Institute of Technology provide a forum to deepen exchange and pursue profound potential with faculty members, students, and graduates.

The Student Support Center at the university provides a facility for Students Life Coaches. These coaches promote understanding of Tokyo Tech's curriculum, using various support systems and taking the initiative to pursue and plan their studies.

Accommodation

Tokyo Tech provides dormitories for newly enrolled international students. Eligible students will receive necessary application information prior to their enrollment. There are several dormitories for students operated by Tokyo Tech. They also recommend the Residence Halls of the Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC), operated by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), and company-owned dormitories.
