Anadolu University


Established as Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences in 1958, the institute was first recognized as Anadolu University in 1982. The University is considered among the most prominent universities worldwide and provides studies in 12 faculties and 6 graduate schools. It is well recognized by the Faculty of Communication in Turkey and Europe.

Anadolu University's goal is to educate Turks living in rural areas who don't have the resources to enrol themselves in any educational institute. In 1981, The Higher education act nominated this University as the national provider of distance education, and this University has placed a strong emphasis on this mission since its creation in 1982.

At Yunusemre Campus in the centre of Eskişehir, most of the University's schools and faculties are located. This campus also contains a university hospital, student housing and most of the institute's administration buildings.

For distance education, Anadolu University has opened 88 administrative centres and bureaus in urban areas scattered throughout Turkey. Many of these centres also offer optional evening classes and academic counselling to the students.


The University is considered a home for thousands of students in different graduate and undergraduate programs. There are over 700 international students enrolled at the University.

University also offers programs via distance education, including 4-years B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) in Business Administration and Economics. These courses are delivered in various methods, including radio broadcasts, pre-recorded television, via the internet, and videoconferences. The University of Anadolu also provides academic counselling through evening classes at some of the University's bureaus in Turkey.

This University offers programs in the faculties of Pharmacy, Humanities, Education, Fine Arts, Law, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication Sciences, Health Sciences and Tourism.

For an open education system, the University of Anadolu offers programs in the faculties of Business Administration and Economics. 


The University offers accommodations to a limited number of students. As for exchange students must submit their applications, and the administration finds a roommate for them. They can also provide the details of the student they want to reside with, and they will be facilitated.

All semester university students offer to share their flats with new incoming students. If your preferences which you stated in the Housing Application Form, match with the local student offer, then the Housing Office of the University announces the match. This matching is advised 3 weeks before your arrival.
