ABOUT

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), or the Science University of Malaysia, is a public research institute. It is also the second-largest University in Malaysia, right after the University of Malaya. It is spread over three campuses, including one main and two side campuses for medical and engineering. The Science University of Malaysia is the only APEX university in Malaysia. The APEX or Accelerated program for Excellence means that the government is backing the institution to become the leading University in the world.

Since its inception, the University has been expanding and developing. Now the Science University of Malaysia offers courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. It has also become a famous University internationally and locally. Since the beginning of USM, the University has opposed traditional faculty systems and favoured and implemented a school system. The uniqueness of the school system is that it has the capability to full fill the needs of a more focused degree.
