About

SUTD- Singapore University of Technology and Design is the 4th public autonomous institute in Singapore, located next to the Upper Changi MRT station. The founding president of SUTD is Thomas L. Magnanti, associated with the (MIT) Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The interim campus of the Singapore University of Technology and Design was at the previous ITE College Dover campus in Dover until December 2014. Through an open selection process and with the collaboration of UNStudio from Amsterdam, the university appointed DP Architects Pte. Ltd. to design the academic cluster of its Upper Changi campus. The university's permanent campus, which opened in January 2015, is situated near the Changi Business Park and on the Downtown MRT Line; Upper Changi Station serves it. As of 2018, SUTD is the only university in Singapore's eastern part.
