The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the top social science universities in the world.

It was founded in 1895 to better society by studying poverty issues and analyzing inequalities.

LSE, located in the heart of London, offers students the chance to study the social sciences at a renowned university while also taking advantage of the city's cultural attractions and recreational opportunities.

This university offers various social science disciplines, including law, economics, politics, management, sociology, and anthropology. Having 29 academic departments and institutes and 19 research centres, this school offers 40 undergraduate and over 140 postgraduate programme.

Students

LSE has one of the most internationally diverse students population in the world, with students coming from over 140 countries. This diversity encourages a truly international approach to intellectual discovery and academic life.

The London School of Economics and Political Science has over 11,000 full-time students with over 5,000 undergraduates, 5,000 postgraduates, and 557 postgraduate researchers. Around 51 per cent of the students are overseas.

Accommodation

Each year, LSE provides accommodation to over 4000 students in their halls and University of London intercollegiate residences. The university also helps its students find private property to rent in London.

The institution ensures housing for all first-year undergraduates and a considerable proportion of its postgraduate population, with several postgraduate-specific homes accessible.

The enormous LSE student housing, built-in 1996, is fully catered and can house 617 students. The second-largest house was built in 1995 and is a 10-minute walk from the main campus. It is self-catering and houses 447 students in four or five bedroom apartments with standard utilities.
