ABOUT

UCSI University is one of the renowned private universities in Malaysia. It was first established as a computer training institute in 1986 and later promoted to University. With time it has added studies in various faculties and programs. As for now, the University offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies in IT, Engineering, medicine, social sciences, business, etc.

This institute was built on the principles of perseverance, audacity, excellence and integrity. With campuses in Springhill, Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, Malaysia, UCSI University is a leading University in higher education and learning. Its faculties are equipped state with the art services which offer a broad spectrum of educational programs, ranging from Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Architecture and Engineering to Music, Education, Multimedia, Hospitality and Liberal Arts.

The vibrant community of UCSI University make it a melting pot of diversity and culture. As one of the first private institutes in Malaysia, this University has long impacted Malaysia’s higher education landscape. This institute continues to do so with a broad spectrum of postgraduate and undergraduate programs.

The vision of UCSI University is to be an intellectually resilient praxis institute renowned for its engagement with community and industry and its leadership in academic pursuits. The University follows the mission to promote transformative education and empowers students to be successful individuals with professionalism, integrity and a desire to contribute to society.

STUDENTS

Despite being a private institute, the University has gained tremendous success in terms of the number of students. It is considered a home for over 10,000 students. Most of them are Malaysian nationals, including about 1,600 international students.

The representative student organization of the University is UCSI Student Council. It is dedicated to being a voice for students and acting as a bridge between university management and students. The council seeks to promote positive learning, provide equal opportunities, and ensure a comfortable learning atmosphere for the academic community. Among many student council roles, the most important include promoting student rights, broad experiences, and opportunities for each student regardless of where they belong.

SARU (Student Activities and Recreation Unit) provide diverse prospects for practical experience through several co-curricular activities. This unit's mission is to enhance students' academic experience at UCSI University through participation in intellectual, cultural, social, and recreational activities.

ACCOMMODATION

The University administration does its best to facilitate the students with proper accommodations. There are two blocks with rooms having twin beds and one with single rooms. The male and female hostels are separate, and there is a visiting area for families to visit.
