ABOUT

Also known as Zheda, Zhejiang University is among the oldest universities in China. It is one of the country's top-ranked research institutes of higher education and learning. Renowned for high-level academics, this institution contributes to the social and economic development of the world and China. The University is spread over seven faculties and offers studies in about 140 Undergraduate and 300 graduate programs. There are six academic libraries at Zhejiang University. The library's overall collection has more than 7.9 million books, making it one of the world's leading academic libraries.

Zhejiang University objects to providing top-notch education to students and enabling them to be future leaders, professionals and intellectuals. However, the role of the University in research is also on a large scale. The high proportion of students at the University takes both applied and basic projects to address challenges and pressing issues in future and today's world.

STUDENTS

ZJU is one of the most populated universities in China. About 29,000 undergraduate and 31,000 master's and doctoral level students are vital to the University. These students also include more than 9,000 international students.

In collaboration with International counterparts, ZJU offers a variety of summer programs, including the Summer Research Program in the area "Optical Physics" with KTH,  ZJU-NCSU Joint Field Course, "And Plant Resources, Ecology & Culture of Eastern China", etc.

By joining student societies, you get a great way to make new friends, meet like-minded people, and explore your interest and hobbies. At Zhejiang University, there are over 150 student associations and organizations in which you can participate. There is something for everyone from Financial Quotient Club to Taekwondo Association.

In Summer School, Zhejiang University offers international students a broad range of opportunities. In this program, you get a chance to participate in exciting social programs, cultural excursions, city tours and various extracurricular activities. 

ACCOMMODATIONS

The University offers accommodations for national and international students, but you should comply with University's policies. The on-campus residence provides a comfortable residence, air conditioners and internet service. If you want to live off-campus, you should apply for it. Also, as you move in, you must visit a local police station to register yourself within 24 hours.

The Foreign Expert and Student Service Center of ZJU is responsible for housing reservations and arrangements for international students. This centre has a high-quality service and management team. All staff here help students in both academic and social life.
