If you have $10 million to invest in New Zealand over 3 years, you can apply for New Zealand residence. If you’re granted residence, you can come to New Zealand with your family and enjoy a unique lifestyle.

Investor 1 Resident Visa lets you live, study and work in New Zealand. You may also include your partner or dependent children aged 24 and under in your visa application. You may also be allowed to bring your car, boat and household items to New Zealand, free of customs charges.

Eligibility

To be eligible;

  • You must have the required investment.
  • You should meet character and health requirements.
  • The investment money must be earned lawfully.

Before submitting an Investor 1 Resident visa application, gather the following necessary documents.

  • You must provide proof of your identity.
  • You must be in good health
  • You must be of good character
  • For this visa, your partner and any dependent children must be meet the requirements. 
  • You must have $10 million to invest in New Zealand for 3 years.
  • Your investment money must be transferred to New Zealand. 
  • Your investment capital must have been earned or acquired legally.
  • You must invest $10 million in acceptable investments in New Zealand for a minimum of 3 years.

Ninty per cent of applications are completed within a 12-month investment period for you to complete your investment in New Zealand.

The visa may cost 4,960 NZD. This charge covers the costs of Immigration New Zealand's expenses associated with processing your application. The price includes a non-refundable immigration levy that is charged. There are no refund application costs if your application is denied.

Investor 1 Resident Visa lets you stay in New Zealand indefinitely. So, there is no need for an extension.
