Canada Is Experiencing A Labour Deficit

There is an increasing labour shortage in various areas, according to the Labour Force Survey for May 2022. That is why there is a need for immigrants to fill vacancies immediately. According to a Statistics Canada report released on June 22, foreign workers have long been the country's primary source of labour. 

According to the Survey of Employment, Payrolls, and Hours, in May 2022, 26,000 positions are no longer on the payroll. Ontario and Manitoba saw the most significant decline. Ontario now has 30,000 positions available, while Manitoba has 2,500 jobs.

Furthermore, industries that produce services, such as those in education, healthcare, and social support, have witnessed a significant decline in employment. According to the report, approximately 17,000 payroll jobs have been lost in these regions.

The two provinces with the most payroll employment losses were Ontario, where 30,000 jobs were lost, and Manitoba, where 2,500 positions were eliminated. However, only in British Columbia was an increase by 7000, which is the only province to do so.

Canada's Professional, Scientific And Technical Services Industry Showing Growth 

The professional, scientific, and technical services industry was the only one to experience an increase, adding more than 10,000 jobs. At the same time, Ontario showed 0.8% and British Columbia a 1.1% increase.
