The University of Nottingham is the best public research university in Nottingham, United Kingdom.  This institution is a part of the famous Russell Group in the UK.

The institution's main campus (University Park Campus), Jubilee Campus, and teaching hospital (Queen's Medical Centre) are situated in the City of Nottingham. It also has various other campuses located across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. In addition to having a main campus in the United Kingdom, the institution also has campuses in Semenyih, Malaysia, and Ningbo, China.

This university has five faculties. These are Arts, Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, and Social Science. Within each of these are several schools and departments. Every faculty at this university comprises various institutes and research centres. This university is still a strong place for MRI research.

There are many notable alumni at the University of Nottingham who have won a total of three Nobel Prizes, the Fields Medal, the Turner Prize, and the Gabor Medal.
